Christmas was great! We went over to the Edgingtons and had breakfast and that’s when I skyped you! That was a lot of fun! I was worried I was going to get homesick and not be able to refocus on the work but I really enjoyed it. It felt like a dream! It still doesn’t feel real that we talked. Thank you for not crying. That was good!
After calling our families we went home and did our studies and I took me a little Christmas nap at lunchtime. That was nice. Then we went out and knocked a few! We thought people were going to be letting us in left and right because it’s the birth of Christ and we offered to share a message about that. We just kept on going like it was any normal day and people weren’t too receptive. Then we knocked this door and this lady opened it. It was Elder Kofford’s turn to talk so he asked her if we could share a message about the birth of Christ and she said “yes”! He looked at me with a look that said, “what the freak? She said yes! I’ve never had this happen, what do we do now Elder Pratt?” So we went in and asked if we could start with a prayer and she said she would like to say it! So we shared the Christmas video online of “A Savior is born” and talked about why he was born? For what reason? and why does this matter to me? She was way receptive and we were so stoked! It was a Christmas Miracle!!! Until she said she goes to the Spanish branch…. which ruined us! Haha! We thought we had found a golden investigator on Christmas day! She said she is a less active who would like to attend our ward and learn English better and attend the temple. So that was good. She takes care of a bunch of old people and is alone every day besides them. Before we left she thanked us so much that we shared a message and made her Christmas special. It was an amazing feeling to be a part of something so special. Elder Kofford and I wanted to find someone who was alone so we could be with them on Christmas and we received and answer to our prayers! Then we had dinner with some of the wealthiest people in the ward and got ties!!! It was pretty cool. Not as cool as being with Ulie though. Finding her made it worth tracting on Christmas. I have to go, but thank you for all you do! I love you mom!
